President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated both Wizkid, and Davido on their wins at the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards. In a statement made through his media adviser, Femi Adesina, President Buhari joined the million of fans of the two music superstars to celebrate the recognition. Wizkid bagged the award for ‘Best International Act,’ Davido claimed the ‘Best African Act’ award at the recently organised international award ceremony.
The President affirmed that both music superstars have showcased the wealth of talents in the country. He added that the duo have made Nigeria proud. He commended their dedication, zeal and benevolence, urging them to be ambassadors of the country and role models to upcoming artistes.
In a Twitter post, the Vice President of the nation, Professor Yemi Osibajo, praised the two artistes for their use of talent and commitment to their craft. He also commended them for making Nigeria proud. He said;
“Once again the talents, hardwork and enterprise of our youth have been celebrated on the world stage. Congratulations to @wizkidayo and @iam_Davido. You make us proud!”
